The Suitcase is recognized for being:
- Compact and hand-portable
- Fast, one-person operation with a unique, user-friendly, Graphical User Interface
- Motorized set-up and antenna positioning
- No requirement of specially trained personnel
- LAN standard - working like any LAN through 10/100 base-T interface
- Rugged - used by military units world wide
The Suitcase has proven itself in combat and during numerous SNG missions. It has received
endorsement from many control bodies including Intelsat Type Approval, Eutelsat Type Approval,
FCC License, EuropeStar Type Approval and Hispasat Type Approval.
The Suitcase has matured into a range of three different terminals to meet different needs:
- The IPT Suitcase, an IP broadband version with built-in IP transmission and receive functionality
- The DVB Suitcase, a low cost version of the IPT Suitcase without the IP-functionality giving the functionality of a fly-away terminal compressed to a carry-on suitcase
- The IPT Mil Suitcase (AN/USC-68), with higher environmental protection meeting military specifications
